Homemade Calzones for Dinner

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 at 7:03 pm

Best idea ever! Sunny and I made calzones for dinner tonight. Awesome! We used pillsbury’s pizza dough to wrap pepperoni, italian sausage (from Trader Joe’s), and pizza sauce. We had broccoli on the side. The dough browned nicely. Food can be beautiful! The beer is a smooth Nut Brown Ale from Samuel Smith’s that I bought from Mary’s Wine Shop in Marysville.

Patty’s Egg Nest just opened in the old Mitzel’s building on 128th street in Everett. I ate a hearty breakfast with the Alvin and the gals from Help Desk. The food has improved over Mitzel’s.

Pouring Concrete at Dad’s

Saturday, January 30th, 2010 at 9:13 pm

Brian, Dad and I poured a patio at Dad’s house where Dad plans to install his fountain. We didn’t have a large area to cover, but we had to fill six inches to level the area around the existing patio. The pour went well. I’ll add some finished photos after the concrete dries.

Dinner at Zaos

Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at 9:03 pm

Dinner at our favorite restaurant, Zaos, at the University Village in Seattle. Zaos has a remarkable number of tasty meals on the menu. My favorite is the Dan Dan Noodles. Zaos is our restaurant of choice when we don’t want to cook at home.

My wife took this awesome photo as we were driving over 8th street in Bellevue after leaving the Bravern. Sunny is quitting her job and taking a job at the National Geographic next week. We are off to the other side of the world! Just kidding, but it is a cool photo of Bing! Before I posted this article I had to Google the spelling of Bravern.

Snowflake Lane, Bellevue

Sunday, December 20th, 2009 at 4:14 am

Sunny and I joined Mom, Idamae, Khai, and Brian to Bellevue for the Snowflake Lane display. We met at Red Robin for dinner before joining the crowds of people lining the street outside Macys in the Bellevue Square. Dozens of drummers form a drum line alongside dancers and performers. The music was nutcracker-themed and was very good. Snow machines showered us in snow. We had a great time, but it was cold!
