How do I manage to get anything done…

My family flew down to Tennessee to visit Mark and his family at Fort Campbell. Mark lives in Clarksville, which is about 30 minutes outside Nashville. It was nice to see Mark, I miss my brother. His family seems to be doing well, but they have grown since they moved here from Fort Lewis. We were in Clarksville for five days. During that time we we went sightseeing at mansions around Tennessee, to the Corvette factory in Kentucky, and we ate at every Southern restaurant we could find. We had catfish and hushpuppies with every meal. I could write a lot more about this trip, but I’ll leave that up to my travel blog. Check out more photos in my gallery here.

Sunny and I have known each other for one wonderful year. To celebrate our anniversary, we ate dinner at Ivors, which is one of our favorite restaurants. We have a lot of good memories eating fish and chips on Lake Union.

My birthday was a blast! At work we had cake and a small potluck. And Sunny made me my favorite dinner – New York steak with a hollandaise sauce! Terrific! I am a lucky man!

Sunny’s boss gave us two tickets to a terrific symphony at Benaroya Hall. The hall is beautiful and we had great seats – although there doesn’t seem to be any bad seats in this hall. I wasn’t supposed to take photos, but I snuck in a few. The music was gorgeous and we met a few nice people who we talked to during the intermissions.

I joined David and Trace at David’s house for Patrick’s going away party. Patrick is leaving tomorrow for South Africa. I wish Patrick and Sophia well as they begin their new life together.

Today we visited Aaron and Michele at their new home in Lynnwood. Their house is spacious; we had a fun time. Aaron and Michele are good hosts.

These views of the Seattle skyline were taken from the 10th floor of Grandma Minty’s house on Queen Anne. The view is spectacular from this floor. I can’t wait until the 4th of July, I can already imagining the Space Needle exploding in fireworks.

Sunny and I drove to Portland to visit the Portland Art Museum. The museum had an exhibit of ballerinas by Edgar Degas. We saw ballerinas by Degas in Paris and loved them. They are graceful and realistic and entertaining. After we left the museum we walked around the city center. We found the biggest Banana Republic we had ever visited. For dinner we ate at a Greek restaurant. There was a really fun party going on at the restaurant which included the owner passing around shots of vodka. Loud and fun!
