I took these two photos in the Seattle Public Library. The building is architecturally cool – a steel and glass pseudo-pyramid among the tall skyscrapers of the Seattle center.

Sunny and I fed the ducks again at Greenlake. Afterwards we sat on a bench to watch the sunset.

My sister’s Birthday dinner was at Blue Fin Sushi, where she ate for free! The buffet was filled with goodies, I loved the Korean BBQ and the short ribs. Sunny, Brian, and Khai went for sushi and crab. The dinner was expensive, but I’d come back… for another free Birthday!

Sunny and I hiked Cougar Mountain to Coal Creek Falls. The scenery was gorgeous and the hike was good practice for the backpacking trip I have planned…

Sunny threw a surprise Birthday party for me – and I don’t know how she pulled it off without me finding out! I celebrated my 33rd Birthday surrounded by my family and friends.

We surprised Corky for his Birthday at Canlis. Sunny and Ian had not met many of their cousins for years so the party was also a family reunion. The food was outstanding and we had a wonderful time.

We joined family and friends at a huge surprise party for Erin. The food and decorations were great. The Master of Ceremonies kept things going and the DJ played a good mix of dance and top 40. However, the comedian started slow and was soon booed off stage. His strip show was funny…

For nearly two years Sunny and I have been taking advantage of the Seattle Art Museum’s free entrance on the first Thursday of the month. For us, the museum is a great getaway from the hassles of life. The rotating exhibits are usually pretty good – last year there was an exhibit of the great bronze doors from the Baptismal by the Duomo in Florence. The artwork is absorbing, transporting us to other worlds. The one in the photo below is a little odd, but fun…
