Yesterday was our 3 year anniversary of the day we met. We celebrated by going to Serious Pie 🙂 for dinner.

It feels like yesterday when I met my soulmate. What a wonderful three years these have been. Knowing and living with such a considerate and thoughtful man is really a gift or shall I say the answer to my prayers. Happy 3 years since we’ve met anniversary my love!!!

Tonight Kevin and I are heading to a special event that I can not talk about at this time, but will fill you in once the mission is complete. Tomorrow we’re meeting our friends John, Jessica and their new little addition Eleanor for breakfast at Brown Bag in Kirkland. I can’t wait to see the sweet little bundle of joy. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. XOXO Sunny

1 year

Sunday, August 16th, 2009 at 4:42 am

As much as it seems like our beautiful wedding day was just yesterday, it also seems like we have been together forever. It’s hard to imagine myself without my husband/Kevin.

Today is our one year wedding anniversary. It seems like just yesterday that I was marrying my best friend. I must say, time has flown since that incredible day. I am so thankful for all of the experiences that Kevin and I have shared and for the fact that our love for each other grows deeper every day. I am excited to embark on new adventures together and to see what the future holds for us, but mostly, I am excited to have such a wonderful partner in life.

This is one of my favorite pictures from our wedding.

The Theme

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008 at 6:47 am

I’m planning the party of a lifetime. I was never the little girl with the pre-planned binder of ideas that followed me throughout adolescence. However, now I’m finding that I’m getting into the entire wedding game of planning one of the most important days of my life…so far! Kevin and I are fans of Parisian influence. As most of you know that’s where we were engaged. Therefore we will be incorporating the French theme into as many of the wedding details as we can. We can’t wait to share our special day with you. xoxoxo

The Fun Stuff!!!

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008 at 3:47 pm

After all the planning, I can finally start working on the fun stuff! Yay! I thought I would share a little update on how planning is going. I have always found these lists helpful throught my planning. I have some big things done and some big things to do.

Done:
1) Booked church, venue (my parents house), caterer, DJ, photographer, cake, and florist
2) Decided against professional violinest for church
3) Purchased ring
4) Designed invitations
5) Bought dress
6) Bought bridesmaids dresses
7) Found Kevin’s gift
8 ) Created design with florist

To Do:

1) Create timeline
2) Create reception layout
3) Finalize bridesmaids gifts
4) Design programs
5) Buy my shoes
6) Meet caterer to finalize the menu and schedule
7) Meet with pastor, and finalize ceremony music
8 ) Put condos up on the market
I’m sure there is a million more things, but I am sure you don’t want to hear about them. I am feeling pretty good!

Our Mother’s Day

Sunday, May 11th, 2008 at 11:55 pm

Today we celebrated Mother’s Day. Our first stop was to the Ver Hoeven side.

Kevin has a very large family on both sides, so usually his parents host at their house. They have this 40 person table that runs almost the entire length of the house. It stretches from the dinning-room to the living room. But this time it was a bit more intimate with only about 15 of us. We did miss Khai, who usually likes to take a good snooze on the couch after a good homemade meal. However we did have Uncle Richard who is the family photographer.

Out next visit was to the Andersen’s. Ian and Dria had everyone over to their new house on Magnolia. My side of the family is much smaller with a total of about 12. But that’s a good number for us, cause anymore than that might get a bit out of control. We’re still working on our table manner’s sometimes food in thrown and if it’s a really good dinner some of us lick our plates. As you can see in the photos above we might get a little silly at times.

For some couples, choosing where to go on a holiday would be hard. But fortunately, both our families live close and are very important to us, so we are able to celebrate these special times with everyone.

Let’s go out and pick some flowers
And make a big bouquet;
We must bring a special gift
To Mom on Mother’s Day!

Here’s a rose, and there’s a daisy
For our Mom’s bouquet,
Pretty flowers to show we love her
More and more each day!
