Kenny Chesney Concert

Saturday, August 1st, 2009 at 4:57 am

Sunny and I attended Kenny Chesney’s Sun City Carnival tour at Quest Field, where we saw Montgomery Gentry, Sugarland, and Kenny Chesney perform. The concert was awesome! Sugarland was amazing and Montgomery Gentry was really entertaining. But Kenny Chesney did not disappoint. His concert was a blast of light, color, and sound. Really entertaining. His songs fit the open air concert perfectly.

Vacation at Moses Lake

Sunday, July 19th, 2009 at 7:00 am

Sunny and I joined a large group of our friends to watch Carrie compete in a skiing competition in Moses Lake. Carrie placed high in the competition that first day.

All the fun centered around that lake. The lake is about a half-mile long and narrow, with circular areas at each end, just wide enough to allow a ski boat to turn around. The water is an odd green color because the owner has had it tinted green. There is a lot of clay in the water – after you get out of the water you are coated with a thin layer of fine gray powder.

Conquering a Hill on Queen Anne

Sunday, July 12th, 2009 at 6:49 am

This may not sound like much, but Sunny and I searched for the top of this hill on Queen Anne for some time before getting this view. We then had just as much fun driving down. This is what we do on a boring Sunday afternoon.

You can see Ballard over the river in the first picture.

Saturday, July 11th, 2009 at 5:27 am

Sunny and I joined Laurie, Ian and Dria on their boat for a ride around Lake Washington. The water was a little rocky, but it cleared up nicely in the evening. The Seattle skyline is gorgeous from Lake Washington.

Hiking to Lake Annette

Saturday, July 4th, 2009 at 5:06 am

Lake Annette is the most brutal trail to the most beautiful lake. The hike gained a nasty 1,700 feet in about 1.5 miles of the 3.5 mile hike. The steep incline sapped our strength, but the work was worth every ounce of energy. The lake was gorgeous. We swam in the lake right next to our campsite and we had the shore to ourselves. Night fell quickly and we snuggled in the tent for a cool night.

Vacation to Washington DC

Sunday, June 28th, 2009 at 10:04 pm

Sunny and I traveled to Washington DC for a class Sunny attended through work. I am lucky to have been able to tag along! As Sunny sat through her class, I scoured the city. Together we visited the Spy Museum, ate lunch on the Lincoln Memorial, dinner at exciting restaurants, and wandered from the White House to the Capitol.

Sunny and I spent a nice relaxing evening at Golden Garden Park in Ballard, Seattle. The park is large, we stayed to the west on the beach. We enjoy relaxing in the sand listening to the waves roll against the shore. We’ll be sure to return soon.

Vacation to Las Vegas

Sunday, May 31st, 2009 at 9:48 pm

I flew to Las Vegas with Steve to spend some time with Brandon. We had a really great time, but I was sick for a day, so missed out on some of the fun. We started out on the strip before driving to Red Rock Canyon to cool down a little.
