Driving home on Christmas Eve Sunny and I drove around our neighborhood where we found this incredible display of lights. We had to pull over to experience the full effect of this display. Really cool!

Snowflake Lane, Bellevue

Sunday, December 20th, 2009 at 4:14 am

Sunny and I joined Mom, Idamae, Khai, and Brian to Bellevue for the Snowflake Lane display. We met at Red Robin for dinner before joining the crowds of people lining the street outside Macys in the Bellevue Square. Dozens of drummers form a drum line alongside dancers and performers. The music was nutcracker-themed and was very good. Snow machines showered us in snow. We had a great time, but it was cold!

Sunny’s Work Christmas Party

Friday, December 18th, 2009 at 4:10 am

We had a great evening tonight. Sunny’s work party was Kaspers in Lower Queen Anne. The venue was small, but intimate. The food was great! There were dozens of small food stands that served unique entrĂ©es in cocktail glasses. I really enjoyed the evening, it is fun to dress up and go out.

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009 at 4:07 am

The Financial Control department gave me this great Superman for completing a project for them. I’m going to have fun flying around the office! Their wonderful gift is one of the reasons I love this job.

G-Star Burger

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009 at 3:59 am

G-Star Burger is a new restaurant that just opened near to where I work. G-Star is a cheaper take on the build-your-own-burger trend that is becoming more popular around Seattle. I designed a simple burger, the burger was good and the service was great.

Two photos of downtown Seattle seen from the skybridge that connects Nordstrom to Pacific Place. Sunny and I spent the evening Christmas shopping. The city center is lit up nicely.

Build a Burger at The Counter

Friday, December 11th, 2009 at 3:57 am

I ate lunch at The Counter today, and was impressed. When Alvin told me about The Counter I thought this was just another build-your-own-burger restaurant, like Lunchbox Laboratory. But The Counter seems to be much more established and thought out than the others. The beef is terrific, never frozen, and is not greasy. There is a menu of fifty ingredients that you can add to your burger. The service is great, and the restaurant is clean. One drawback is the location. The Counter is on 46th Street and 14th in Ballard and can be hard to find. I can’t wait to return!

Dinner with Scott and Laurie

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009 at 3:55 am

Sunny and I cooked dinner for Laurie and Scott at our condo. Dinner was good and we played a fun game, Who, What, Where. In this game you create a drawing of a person (Who) in a specific setting (Where) doing something (What). You pass the drawing to each player and guess what the artist was trying to draw. We had a great time! This photo was taken outside our condo.
