Vacation to Paris

We returned safely from our vacation to Paris and we are engaged! Everyday on this trip was special, around every corner was something wonderful. Our hotel was very romantic – we stayed on the second floor of Hotel Prince, in the Rue Cler neighborhood, right next to the Eiffel Tower. We spent our evenings wandering streets bathed in the gold hue reflecting from the Eiffel Tower. It snowed the first day, and it was cold! On the second day Sunny and I took a walk from Les Invalides over Pont Alexander III to the Champs Elysees. That evening I proposed and Sunny said yes, yes, yes! Over the next few days we toured the Louvre, D’Orsay, Rodin, and the Orangerie museums. The Louvre was overwhelming, but fun. We were so tired in the Orsay that we kept our tour limited to Degas’ ballerinas and impressionism.
The food was great. For dinner Sunny often ate French Onion soup and I had the typical French dinner, steak and fries. We ate well. We walked from sight to sight, eating picnic lunches consisting of stinky cheese and herby breads along the way.
I’ve added some photos below, click here for my Web Gallery for the rest.

Sorry for the really late response, but congratulations. Things have been pretty hectic here in CO for Amanda and I. We closed on our house on May 29, moved in on the 31st. It has been a steady stream of unpacking and painting since then. Things sure are different moving from an apt to a house, especially when you double your house size and gain a garage. Amanda and I will be updating our blog as soon as I get the internet connection up and running – hopefully tonight. Our blog address is http://www.hellofrom5280.com. I don’t know if you mother forwarded our new address yet but it is 5548 S Ireland Way Centennial, CO 80015. Sorry about the confusion about the first house and the incorrect address on Cornell. The Ireland address is the current and only one now. Gotta run, patients are calling. Will try to correspond more often. Congrats again, look forward to receiving the save the date card and invitation.
